Waimea falls is 45 to 55 feet tall depending upon the weather. One can see brownish red water in the fall which is caused by the high iron content of the rock and soil that the channel for the waterfall passes over. As with many waterfalls on O’ahu, one is even allowed to swim under and behind the waterfall.
