DSC00301

At 887 ft in length and 45,000 tons of displacement, the Battleship Missouri (BB-63) and her Iowa class sisterships (Iowa, New Jersey, and Wisconsin) were the largest U.S. battleships ever built.  They were also the second largest battleships ever built by any navy, being only slightly smaller than the Japanese Navys Yamato and Musashi.
